Permanent Hair Color
Permanent hair color can be applied all over or to just the roots of a client’s hair depending on if it is just a touch-up or not. It does not wash out. Permanent color adds to the natural pigment of one’s hair and replaces it with the new pigment. This type of color grows out; it does not wash out.
-
Demi-Permanent Color
Demi colors are not permanent. They are ammonia-free. Unlike permanent color, demi color molecules do not penetrate the hair shaft but wrap around the hair’s cuticle. This coating eventually washes away. It is a great option for refreshing color, toning highlights, enhancing one’s natural color and blending grays. Demi color usually lasts up to 24-28 shampoos (possibly more). Touch-ups require all over application.
-
Semi-Permanent Color
Similarly to demi colors, semi colors are also ammonia free and not permanent. Semi colors are direct deposit colors. Many people call them “fashion colors”. Semi colors generally last between 3-12 shampoos (4 to 6 weeks). It does fade over time and will eventually wash out completely.

Highlights and Lowlights
Highlights and lowlights are both color services that offer hints of color throughout a client’s hair as opposed to one all over color. Highlights add streaks of color that are lighter than one’s base color. Lowlights are streaks of color that are darker than one’s base color. Both can offer contrast, dimension and depth to a look. They can also give hair the illusion of looking fuller.

Perms
Perms are a chemical treatment that changes one’s natural hair texture from straight to a wave or curl with the use of hair rollers. A perm can last between two to 10 months.

Keratin Treatment
A Keratin treatment is a semi-permanent treatment that fills in the porous parts of a client’s hair with an artificial version of keratin to replace the naturally occurring keratin protein that has been lost. This results in making hair look smoother, shinier, more manageable and less frizzy! The treatment lasts around three to four months. Eventually, the hair will begin to go back to its original state. Regular Keratin treatments help build up keratin and the effects will last longer.
